La Tata Robotica was founded in 2015 from the idea of Enrica Amplo, its founder. A combination of technology and engineering, art and design, back in 2015 in Italy it was among the very first projects to deal with STEAM education for children and teenagers.

In December of the same year, La Tata opened a laboratory in Carpi in the province of Modena, where it then held coding, creative robotics, tinkering, physical computing and 3D printing workshops for over a year.

In 2016 it was named among the 10 best innovative ideas in Emilia Romagna, selected by the Aster tender, Silicon Valley Mindset program.

In its first years of activity, Tata had to spread the message that STEAM education seeks to convey. To do so he proudly participated in the Maker Faire in Rome European edition, at the gaming fair G-come giocare in Milan, at Festival della Mente of Sarzana and also beyond the Italian border, at Long Lake Festival in Lugano, at Copenhagen maker festival enjoying more and more success.

In 2017 the curators of the exhibition Giro Giro Tondo, at La Triennale in Milan, asked La Tata to participate in the section "from analog to digital" exhibition with two of her creations. They were the outcomes of STEAM workshops very dear to her. Since then it has been part of the catalog alongside giants of design and education for children, including Maria Montessori and Bruno Munari.

The more the years passed, the more attention towards STEAM education grew both at school and outside of school. This has allowed Tata to collaborate with numerous organizations and bodies, designing and holding workshops for and with the Municipality of Carpi, the Soliera Playground, the Campori Foundation, the Nonantola Playroom, Hape Toys, the Fiorano Fablab, the Campogalliano Municipality, these are just a few of many.
In addition to comprehensive schools and institutes including the Liceo Scientifico M.Fanti of Carpi, the M. Hack lower secondary school of Carpi, the private school of Mira (VE), IC Neri of Concordia, IC Masi of Cavezzo, the private nursery school of S. Faustino of Modena.

2015

The space has no longer been in Carpi since 2017, because La Tata has now expanded Worldwide thanks to the internet and the passion for creativity and technological education that belongs to everyone.

Her avant-garde ability to combine engineering, education and design has allowed her to collaborate with the Polytechnic of Milan for the master's degree in Kids and Toy Design, with LittleBits (New York), Bare Conductive (London) e Hape (Italy).

2018 was also full of emotions and proud. La Tata Robotica with Enrica Amplo was invited to the European Commission to talk about STEAM education and then return and hold training courses and conferences in various schools in the Emilia Romagna region and beyond including workshops at the Learning Creative Learning conference in Bologna, Digital School Award in Carpi, 10 CLIL training in Ferrara.

Today The Robotic Nanny® is a registered trademark. It matters more than 3000 boys and girls, and more than 1000 teachers and educators, who actively participated in its workshops and training courses at school and outside of school (fablabs, recreational clubs, after school, libraries, playrooms).

But La Tata knows it, it's not just the numbers that count, which is why she continues undaunted in bringing to everyone her vision of STEAM education which involves teaching technology to children who learn to use it in a creative way to solve today's problems, collaborating and respecting others and the planet.
