Discovering Artificial Intelligence with Minecraft

Free!

Minecraft Education is a version of Minecraft in which everything is programmable with the block programming language very similar to Scratch.Unfortunately this version is not free...but! There are several free demos related to the Hour of Code.

Here you can find an introduction with La Nanny Robotica on Minecraft's activity on Artificial Intelligence, a journey to discover how this technology can help us prevent fires.

How to do it?

Install Minecraft Education.

At this link you will find all the installation steps.

Then open the program and when it asks to log in, close the window. Instead, choose "Try a demo lesson" or "If you don't have an account, try a demo lesson" (tiny link) but it's there.

Then click PLAY and START THE LESSON.

There are several free demos, such as the one on inclusion. Each demo is an activity for children and teenagers that lasts about an hour. The activity is guided, so children and teenagers can potentially play on their own.

They are supported and guided from the beginning to the end of the project. The teacher therefore does not need to have any particular knowledge to be able to propose this activity to the class. However, an adult or teacher can give added value to this activity by encouraging children and teenagers to ask themselves questions and find out more.

We have also created a webinar for children and teenagers on Minecraft's activity on Artificial Intelligence, to find out more Contact us!

We can also create an online laboratory specifically for your class.

HAVE FUN SMART!

See you next time, your Robotic Nanny
